Data & Methodology
Data and Methodology
PrimeManifest is built from two free, public U.S. government sources. We publish only government-owned fields, which are public domain under 17 U.S.C. §105.
Sources
- SAM.gov public entity extract: legal and DBA name, UEI, CAGE, NAICS and PSC codes, set-asides, registration status and dates, address, entity structure, and point-of-contact name and city.
- USAspending.gov open data: lifetime obligations, award counts, and by-year totals, attributed "via USAspending.gov".
What we deliberately do not publish
This is a discovery and profile layer, not a contact database. We do not publish contractor email, phone, or fax numbers: those fields are restricted and are not in the public file. We also do not use Dun & Bradstreet proprietary data or the legacy DUNS number; the government-owned UEI replaced DUNS in 2022 and is the only identifier we use. Entities that opt out of public display are absent from the public file, and we never reconstruct them.
Freshness
Profiles reflect a dated snapshot of the public extract, shown in the page header. We refresh on the public file's monthly cadence.
Corrections
Records come straight from the government file. To correct a profile, use the claim link on any page, and verify your official record at SAM.gov.
